President of COMEC

I am delighted to announce that General Sir Mike Jackson GCB CBE DSO ADC DL, former Chief of the General Staff, has accepted the invitation to become the next President of COMEC. He will bring to COMEC a vast wealth of knowledge and experience of military affairs which together with his extensive military, political and organisational skills will enable the University Service Units to continue to develop and flourish.
General Sir Mike will be the third President of COMEC in succession to Field Marshal The Lord Vincent of Coleshill GBE KCB DSO former Chief of the Defence Staff and Professor Sir Graeme Davies FREng former Vice-Chancellor of the University of London and Chief Executive the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
